SIZE & MATERIAL GUIDE
Use this guide to compare common dimensions, measurement units and stainless steel grades. Final availability, tolerance and recommended grade are confirmed for each project.
Customized widths and lengths are available depending on grade, finish, quantity, fabrication and transport limits.

LENGTH
2000 / 2438 / 3000 / 3048 mmCustomized lengths up to 6000 mm for selected products.
THICKNESS
0.3–30 mmCold-rolled sheet: 0.3–3.0 mm. Hot-rolled plate: 3.0–30 mm.
| Metric | Imperial reference | Quotation note |
|---|---|---|
| 25.4 mm | 1 inch | Drawings in millimetres help avoid conversion errors. |
| 304.8 mm | 1 foot | Confirm whether dimensions are finished size or cutting size. |
| 1219 × 2438 mm | Approx. 4 × 8 ft | A common architectural sheet size. |
| 1219 × 3048 mm | Approx. 4 × 10 ft | Useful for taller wall and elevator panels. |
Before ordering: specify whether cold-rolled sheet or hot-rolled plate is required, together with grade, actual or nominal thickness, width, length, finish, protective film, quantity and tolerance. Decorative surface finishes are normally based on cold-rolled sheet, while heavier fabrication can use hot-rolled plate. Oversized material may require special packing and freight planning.
Corrosion exposure, fabrication, appearance, maintenance and budget should be considered together.
An economical austenitic grade with lower nickel content. Best for dry indoor decorative work, furniture and fixtures where corrosion exposure is limited.
VALUE-FOCUSED · DRY INTERIORSThe most common all-round grade, balancing corrosion resistance, fabrication and cost. Suitable for interiors, kitchens and many urban exterior applications.
GENERAL PURPOSE · MOST COMMONContains molybdenum for stronger resistance to chlorides and aggressive environments. Preferred near coastlines, pools, wet areas and marine projects.
COASTAL · WET · HIGHER RESISTANCEA magnetic ferritic grade offering good value for dry indoor decoration and appliance-style applications. Corrosion resistance and forming differ from 304.
MAGNETIC · DRY INDOOR USEThis is a practical starting point; chemical exposure and local conditions may require engineering review.
| Environment | Typical starting grade | Selection considerations |
|---|---|---|
| Dry indoor decorative area | 201 / 430 / 304 | Balance appearance, forming needs and budget. |
| General commercial interior | 304 | Reliable all-round choice for frequent-use spaces. |
| Kitchen, wet or hygiene-sensitive area | 304 / 316 | Cleaning chemicals, standing water and maintenance matter. |
| Urban exterior | 304 / 316 | Assess pollution, rain exposure and cleaning access. |
| Coastal, pool or chloride exposure | 316 | Salt and chlorides substantially increase corrosion risk. |
Important: grade selection is not based on price alone. Share the installation location, environment, cleaning method and fabrication details so we can recommend a practical option.
